The Drasil Faction
The Drasil are intelligent, tree-like aliens with advanced technology that enables them to explore the galaxy. They execute most actions, at least those taking less than a year, using mech suits, drones, and ships. Their perspective spans centuries, in contrast to humans' daily planning. They excel in chemical science, utilizing AI and technology in their tree colony cyborg home world, connected through a root communication network. Leaving their home grove is a significant sacrifice, and extended travel in the galaxy can alter their worldview.
The Horror Faction
Eldritch aliens from deep space possess horrifying powers that induce madness and mutations in other species, even altering ecosystems. They don't necessarily hate humans; they view them as raw materials for their inexplicable pursuit of forbidden knowledge. Some evidence suggests they might be sentient viruses from another dimension or involved in a cosmic war beyond human comprehension.
The AlignCorp Faction
AlignCorp, the private military force, holds a 50-year contract to protect Earth and corporate interests. While the soldiers may lack clarity on their missions, the executives making decisions do. Their actions aim to ensure humanity's survival, but corporate profit often takes precedence, sometimes resulting in internal conflicts.
